Jeremy Allen White has totally transformed into The Boss.
20th Century Studios offered a first look at The Bear actor, 33, as Bruce Springsteen on Monday, October 28, from the upcoming movie Deliver Me From Nowhere. White has taken on the New Jersey native’s persona perfectly with the plaid shirt and leather jacket.
While the film studio did not offer a specific release date, they did reveal that the movie is set to hit theaters next year.
It was announced in March that White would be portraying Springsteen, 75, in the upcoming biopic. While not much is known about the film thus far, White did say that he and the legendary musician have been in contact.
The duo has “texted and emailed,” White said during a July interview with Variety, noting that Springsteen communicates “like a boss.” At the time, White also revealed that he was going to see Springsteen perform in London that same month — the first face-to-face meeting they would have.
“I’m really excited to see him perform,” White told Variety.
During a separate interview with the publication, White revealed that he planned to “try” and do his own singing in the movie — something he’s yet to do onscreen.
“We’ve communicated a little bit through some other people, but I hope this still all comes together,” he told Variety at the June premiere of The Bear season 3. “We’ve still got a few things, we’ve got some timing stuff to work out, and I’m trying to have a bit of my own process with it before meeting the man too.”
Things have since come together with White completely transforming into the role.
